Li Keqiang said that the participation of the Chinese team will enable Shanghai to gain more experience for hosting the WorldSkills Competition in 2026 and contribute Chinese wisdom to the promotion of the WorldSkills Competition.

Zou Yuan, head of the Chinese delegation, said that the Chinese team has advantages in the above three categories, adding, “The Chinese delegation’s players and specialists are fully prepared for the competition, and we will fight for the gold medal. .”
This biennial event is known as the Olympiad of World Excellence. The Chinese delegation includes 36 players with an average age of 22, all from vocational schools, who will compete in 34 competitions as part of the WorldSkills 2022 special edition.
The Special Edition is the official replacement for the WorldSkills Shanghai 2022, which was canceled due to the pandemic. From September to November, 62 professional skill competitions will be held in 15 countries and regions. ■
